Privacy: what we collect and why

When you type your email

We keep:

• Your email address.
• Which list you joined: news about Ownercode Pro.
• The page you signed up on.
• Where you first came from: the site or link that sent you here (for example X, Facebook, or a search engine), read from the link and your browser when you first arrived.
• When we emailed you, and how many times.
• Whether you asked us to stop emailing you, and when.

Why: to write to you when Ownercode Pro opens and when we add new pieces to it, and to learn which pages and links bring people here.

When you ask for a trade pack

We keep the trade you typed, your email, your town if you gave one, the page you asked on, and when. It reaches us as a private notice in our team chat. When we answer, we keep the answer, our note, and when we emailed it.

Why: to decide which trades to build next, and to email you our answer once. Asking does not put you on a mailing list.

When you visit

We see which pages people read, the site that sent them, and a rough location worked out from the internet address. It reaches us as a private notice in our team chat, and it tells us what brings people here.

Cookies

This site keeps a few cookies and some browser storage of its own. They tell a new visitor from a returning one, remember where you first came from, and, after you sign up, match your visits to your email. The cookies last up to a year.

There are no ad cookies and no trackers from other companies, so there is no cookie banner. To clear all of it, clear this site's data in your browser.

Where it is kept, and who sees it

• Stored: in a database at Cloudflare, the company that runs this site. Cloudflare also sends our emails.
• Visit notices: go to our team's private chat.
• Who reads it: the people who run Dirty Work Software.
• Never: we do not sell it, rent it, or give it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep your signup or request until you ask us to delete it, or until we close the list. The cookies run out after a year.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Show you what we keep about you.
• Fix anything that is wrong.
• Delete it.
• Stop emailing you.

To stop the emails, click "Stop these emails" at the bottom of any email we send. For anything else, email support@dirtyworksoftware.com from the address you signed up with, or reply to any email we sent you. When we delete, we delete your signup, your requests and the visit notices that name you.

We answer within 30 days. Asking costs you nothing and does not change how we treat you. If the law where you live gives you more rights than these, email us and we will honor them.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13. If you think a child gave us their details, email support@dirtyworksoftware.com and we will delete them.

Some links on this site go to other sites. Those sites have their own rules, and this page does not cover them.

Security

We take reasonable steps to keep your details safe. No system is fully safe, so we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong.

Where this applies

Dirty Work Software is a business in the United States. Buyers outside the United States pay through Stripe, which is the seller on those sales.

Changes to this policy

We may change this page. When we do, the date at the top changes with it. The page here is always the one in force.
